I have been interested in photography since I was a kid but never seemed to have the opportunity to pursue it seriously. Now that I am retired, I have decided that it is time for me to start a new adventure in life and see where it takes me.
I have always had a camera around. My mom gave me a little Kodak Brownie camera when I was young. I had a couple of other point and shoot cameras over the years. Later on, when I was in the Air Force, I bought a Canon SLR while I was overseas and absolutely loved it. I used it for a number of years until it would no longer focus. By that time I had started a family so my priorities had changed and photography took a back seat to other more important things.
Over the last five years or so my wife and I started taking long “weekend” trips throughout New England and New York. I decided a point and shoot camera wasn’t enough anymore so I bit the bullet and purchased a Canon DSLR. I started with the XSi and have since upgraded to the 60D.
I love the outdoors. Whether it is a trip along the coast of New England or walking down a path in a forest somewhere, there are always beautiful sites to see and admire. I always have the feeling of being free and being close to nature which, to me, is a wonderful feeling.
I hope the photos here provide you with the same kind of enjoyment and peace of mind that these places and creatures have provided to me.
I will be adding additional photos to this site, so please stop by in the future to check out what I have added.
